This interactive installation transforms human data into a hypnotic visual landscape, centered on a collection of recordings of people’s eyes performing a synchronized choreography. Using a MIDI controller, a single operator acts as the conductor of a collective gaze, scaling the visuals from a massive mosaic down to an intimate pair of eyes, or generating rhythmic ripples of movement across the screen. By filtering these vulnerable gazes alongside their attached data, the installation exposes subtle alignments and reveals hidden connections within the crowd. We allow views into our most intimate, personal realm through data - exposing ourselves. But are we only providing data or are we handing over control? Do we trust the person behind the controls?
