CDFriedrich inspiriert

An immersive exhibition about Caspar David Friedrich, one of the most important painters of the Romantic period. On his hikes through Saxon Switzerland, he captured rocks, mountains, and ruins in sketches, which he then assembled in his studio into freely composed yet meticulously detailed visual worlds. Room-filling video projections invite visitors to see nature through his eyes and to trace his creative process from the first sketch to the finished painting.
