A modern tale tells of a device for
donkey recognition. Precise data analysis
replaces common sense. Public
detection terminals are everywhere to
be found, where there is a higher
probability of confrontation with donkeys.
An atmospheric film accompanies
the interactive installation.
The donkey detector, trained with
machine learning, is actually able to
detect donkeys. Connected to a
camera, the device evaluates what it
sees in realtime. If it is a donkey
(or a person wearing a donkey mask),
a servo motor is activated, which
turns the flashing computer by 180°
and symbolically deciphers the
cryptic numerical codes of the black
box. Seemingly supernatural AI
is unmasked as a mathematical app-
lication and the figures on the
display are also readable:
